Mr. Rutledge represents individuals in the full range of employment law, family law, personal injury, and landlord-tenant matters. Since leaving the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps in 2002, Mr. Rutledge has worked extensively on wage and hour class action litigation in state and federal courts, as well as the litigation and negotiation of individual employment law, family law, landlord-tenant, and personal injury claims, including claims for wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, slip and fall, automobile accidents, etc. 

 

Mr. Rutledge is a member of the Labor and Employment and the Family Law sections of the State Bar of California, the Family Law and Labor and Employment (of which he was the Co-Chairman from 2006 to 2008) sections of the San Diego County Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, the North County Bar Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the California Employment Lawyers Association, and the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego.  He is also currently the Chairman of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Attorney-Client Assistance Section to the Client Relations Committee (2005 to the present). 

 

Mr. Rutledge is a former Representative for the San Diego County Bar Association’s Board of Delegates Labor and Employment Law Section (January 2006 to December 2006) and the Civil Litigation Section (January 2006 to December 2006).  He is a former Judge Pro Tem for the San Diego Superior Court, Small Claims Court (January 2006 to June 2007).  He is a retired naval officer of the U.S. Naval Reserve JAG Corps.
